Shalom Tucson and Southern Arizona
B'nai Yisrael is a Torah obedient Messianic congregation located in the heart of Tucson, Arizona. We are dedicated to the restoration of the "Hebrew Roots" of Christianity.
Worship starts 1:00 p.m. on Shabbat (Saturdays).
We have a Torah and Worship service with wonderful music and praise, followed by Midrash (Study of the Scriptures). We keep Scripturally Kosher in our lifestyle, Kosher means "Fit and Proper".
Y'shua the Messiah was raised as a True Torah Obedient Israelite; and as such, He observed the Israelite customs and traditions of that day, as long as they did not contradict the Torah. Rather than looking and acting like modern-day 'Torah-less' believers, Messiah Y'shua and His talmidim (disciples) looked, walked, and talked like Torah Obedient Israelites, and they practiced the Israelite faith. The only customs and traditions Messiah Y'shua did not teach His talmidim to keep were those that conflicted with the Torah Moshe (the Laws of Moses). Wherever and whenever the Israelite customs and traditions conflicted with the Torah, Messiah told His followers to disregard them (ie., Mark 7:3). However, wherever, and whenever these traditions did not conflict with the Torah, Messiah and His disciples observed them (ie. Matthew 23:3). The statement of faith and the questions sections were written to help understand our beliefs, to clarify and strengthen the truths of Torah for modern day Nazarene Israelites who desire to keep a TRUE TORAH OBEDIENT LIFESTYLE after receiving the gift of salvation through Messiah Y'shua. He told us in Yochanan (John) 14:15, "If you love Me, obey my mitzvot (Torah, commandments)."
